About Me

Hi everyone!

My name is Jamie-Lee and I am very excited to tell you a little bit more about myself and what I do!

I grew up on a cattle ranch just outside of the small town of Castor, AB. Growing up in a small, rural community gave me the opportunity to play several sports with my main ones being hockey and rodeo. I was fortunate to play competitive hockey for 17 years, ending my hockey career in the Alberta Junior A Female Hockey League. Presently, you can find me behind the bench as a coach where, over the past few years, I have been staffed on several different female hockey teams. To this day, I still rodeo all over Alberta where I compete in the team roping, breakaway roping and barrel racing.

Sports have been a major part of my life growing up and even into my adulthood. Not only have I learned many life skills through sport but also gained an in depth understanding of the body, movement, physical fitness and exercise. I have experienced my fair share of injuries and had to go through many different types of physical therapies. Because of this, I know how important it is to work with someone who understands the process of recovery on a personal level. This is what led me to pursue my passion in injury recovery, therapy and prevention. Recovery and rehabilitation can be frustrating, difficult and painful. I want to give you a personalized treatment plan specific to you and your needs so that you can have the best experience possible because no two bodies are exactly the same.

Once graduated from high school, I got my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a major in Sport Performance from the University of Alberta. There I learned about the human body, systems function, movement, and injury rehabilitation and prevention. This gave me a solid foundation as I went on to take my diploma of Manual Osteopathy out of the Manual Osteopathic College of Canada where I graduated with distinction. Manual Osteopathy has given me a much more in depth understanding of the body, its many systems and how it functions to heal and repair itself. I am excited to share my knowledge with you so that you can live life without the restrictions of pain, instability or lack of mobility!
